Boys will be boys: But the mess created by Ashley Cole and his footballer mates outside their rented home in LA has angered their neighbours


Just over a week ago he was snapped being the dutiful tenant as he took out the rubbish.

But it would seem that Ashley Cole has more than outstayed his welcome as far as the neighbours are concerned anyway.

The Chelsea star has reportedly angered his local community for turning the affluent Beverly Hills street into a 'pig sty'.


The footballer has ordered so much takeaway food for him and his friends that the bins outside his £18,500 a week rented mansion are overflowing.

Of course, it doesn't say much for the rubbish collectors in the district, who haven't been keeping on top of collecting the trash.

But it could also be that Cole and his friends have just ordered so much food that there are just not enough bins for all their rubbish.

The wheely bins ate overflowing with dirty paper plates, empty popcorn bags and torn and screwed up McDonalds bags.

Whatever the reason, the neighbours are said to be furious and one, who asked not to be name, said: 'It's awful, it stinks.

'It's like they've turned this nice, quiet, clean and respected street into a pig sty. It's utterly disgusting.'

Ashley, 30, has been in Los Angeles for two weeks and has been staying at the mansion on a lads' holiday.

Fellow footballers Manchester City stars Shaun Wright Phillips and Wayne Bridge and Bolton Wanderers defender Zat Knight.

They have been staying at the six-bedroom mansion in the Hollywood Hills, which is reported to be worth $7million.

It sprawls across 10,000 square feet and all bedrooms are en suite.

It also boasts a swimming pool, a spacious dining room and kitchen and a home cinema.

Ashley jetted out to LA after reportedly spending the night with ex-wife Cheryl Cole, as she kept a low profile following her humiliating sacking from the X Factor USA.

But although reports have said that Cheryl's family, especially her mother Joan, are begging her not to get back with him, Ashley is said to be confident that he and the Girls Aloud star will reconcile.

According to one report today, he is so convinced that he is buying her a chihuahua for her 28th birthday next Thursday.

They are a favourite breed of Cheryl's who already owns two of the minature dogs, Coco and Buster.

Ashley is believed to have contacted a breeder to inquire about a six-week-old puppy and also said to be planning a holiday for the two of them.

A family friend told the Sun: 'He now knows he's well in and has called a breeder.

'He also wants Cheryl to go away with him in total privacy so he can convince her they've a future as a couple. He expects her to agree.'

Clash: Cheryl Cole's family are begging her not to forgive cheating ex Ashley


Cheryl Cole's concerned family and friends are urging her to reconsider letting ex-husband Ashley back into her life.

Reports today claim that the singer's mother Joan Callaghan is furious that her cheating former son-in-law may have wormed his way back into Cheryl's heart.

The 27-year-old singer yesterday told confidantes she will not rule out a reconciliation with the Chelsea and England footballer, 30, who had a string of affairs during their marriage.

But Joan is said to have challenged her daughter's judgement, asking, 'How many times do you want your heart broken?' the Daily Mirror reports.

Cheryl's family and friends believe that 'once a cheat, always a cheat - and Ashley will go and break her heart again,' a source told the paper.

Close friends of Mrs Cole last night confirmed she returned to their £5million marital home in Surrey three weeks ago to spend the evening with him.

It is believed Cheryl and Ashley recently spent a night together at their marital home in Godalming, Surrey


A source said the couple did not share a bed, but added: 'Who knows what is going to happen in the future with them?

'Ashley is a predator, he likes a challenge and Cheryl is so tired and emotional that she may just give in.

'He is the only man she has ever truly loved and that's a powerful thing – and Ashley knows how to play her like a violin.

Joan is also understood to be furious with Derek Hough for seemingly abandoning Cheryl at her most vulnerable.

Hough was a constant presence at Cheryl's side throughout her divorce and battle with malaria last year, but has disappeared from her life.

Joan feels that in Derek's absence Cheryl has been forced to turn to Ashley for support.

Mrs Cole's representatives are believed to be angered by talk of a reunion because she had promised not to see Cole.

Her decision to do so goes against the stark warnings of her mother Joan Callaghan and friends including Simon Cowell.

Cole, 30, is currently on a 'lads' holiday in Los Angeles, while Mrs Cole – who has kept a low profile for the past month after being sacked from the U.S. version of The X Factor – is at a rented home in North London.

Last night, a source close to the footballer said he had even made plans to cut short his holiday to try to win back his ex-wife.

'Cheryl told him she needs him and that she wants him to come back early and he's agreed,' the source said.

Mrs Cole last saw him two weeks ago before he flew to California.

Her divorce was made final in October shortly after she had battled malaria. In a recent TV interview with Piers Morgan, she said: 'We had a great relationship.

There's part of us that will always love him.'

But it appears the Chelsea footballer is still holding a candle for his ex-wife as he's started wearing his wedding ring again.

Fuelling recent speculation the couple are growing closer again, the Chelsea footballer was spotted with the £200,000 diamond-encrusted band over the weekend.

But given the fact he's divorced, he is choosing to wear it on his right hand instead of the traditional left hand.

Friends of the England player, 30, claim he has been phoning his ex-wife to comfort her from her unceremonious sacking from The X Factor USA last week.

Over the past week, he's been spotted wearing the ring while leaving an England training session at London Colney, Herts, and a recent night out at Chinawhite.

A pal told The Sun: 'It's his way of saying to Cheryl that she is his only true love and he thinks they are close to getting back together.

'Ash is convinced they have a future once again as husband and wife.'

The Chelsea left back has been reported as trying to win back Cheryl for several months following their divorce last September after just three and a half years of marriage.

The couple announced their split in March 2010 - shortly after tabloid revelations claiming Ashley had been sending sexy texts to other women.

In an interview with Piers Morgan's Life Stories last October, Cheryl, 27, admitted she would always love her former spouse.
